The Adult Literacy Act requires that the development of a provincial adult literacy strategy to address the needs of Manitobans.
The Provincial Adult Literacy Strategy will be developed after the consultation input is considered. Consultations with key stakeholders and the public is essential to the development of the adult literacy strategy.
A discussion paper, Adult Literacy in Manitoba, was launched at the Pan Canadian Literacy Forum on April 14-15, 2008. This discussion paper provides a starting point for consultation on the development of the strategy.
Individuals and groups may register to participate in the consultation process.
