Soil Survey Reports are a primary source of basic soil information with a wide range of applications, including agriculture, environmental, forestry, wildlife and engineering. As well as containing technical information about the chemical and physical properties of soil, soil survey reports and maps include a non-technical section about management practices that may be useful to the farmer, agricultural capability classification, and suitability for irrigation and infrastructure development such as roads, septic fields, buildings and recreation uses. Soil survey data can also provide a key layer of information, integral to the development of precision farming management practices. Visit the Manitoba Soil Resource Information page for a full Index of Detail Soil Reports.
