Teriyaki Pork Burgers

Teriyaki Pork Burgers
 
1 lb (500g) lean ground pork
¼ cup (50 mL) fine dry bread crumbs
¼ tsp (1 mL) garlic powder
¼ tsp (1 mL) pepper
2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped onion
2 (2) green onions, chopped
2 tbsp (25 mL) soy sauce
2 tbsp (25 mL) orange juice concentrate
¼ tsp (1 mL) ginger
1 tsp (5 mL) brown sugar


Combine all ingredients. Form into 4-6 patties. Barbecue over medium heat 5-10 minutes per side or broil approximately 3" (7.5cm) from broil element for 5-10 minutes per side or until no pink remains. Always cook ground pork to well done. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite condiments. For a new taste sensation, serve on a hamburger or Kaiser bun and layer oranges, sliced kiwi and sliced strawberries over the meat.

Makes 4-6 servings.
