Cheesy Breakfast Strata
|

crustless white bread cubes (1/2 inch / 1 cm) |
| 12 oz |
(375 g) |
Canadian Brie cheese, cubed |
| 8 oz |
(227 g) |
Canadian Cheddar cheese, grated |

green onion, chopped |

clove garlic, minced |

| 3 cups |
(750 mL) |
milk or cream |
| 2 tbsp |
(25 mL) |
dry mustard |
| 2 tsp |
(10 mL) |
paprika |
| 1/2 tsp |
(2 mL) |
salt |
| 1/4 tsp |
(1 mL) |
freshly ground pepper |
| 1/4 cup |
(50 mL) |
chopped fresh parsley |
Place half the bread cubes in lightly greased 9"x 13" (22 X 33 cm) baking dish.
Top with half the Brie, half the Cheddar and all the onion and garlic. In large bowl beat
together remaining ingredients. Pour half the egg mixture over onion, cheese and bread
layers. Top with remaining bread cubes, cheeses and egg mixture. Cover. Refrigerate at
least 4 hours or overnight. Uncover. Bake at 350ºF (180ºC) 45-60 minutes or until puffed
and golden. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Makes 8-10 servings.
