Pork Indonesian Style

| 1 lb |
(500 g) |
lean boneless pork loin cut into 1/4" (0.75 cm)
strips |
| 1 tbsp |
(15 mL) |
canola oil, divided |

cloves garlic, minced |
| 3/4 tsp |
(4 mL) |
hot pepper flakes |
| 2 cups |
(500 mL) |
coarsely shredded cabbage |
| 1 cup |
(250 mL) |
chopped celery |

green onions, cut into 1/2" (1.25 cm) pieces |
| 1/4 cup |
(50 mL) |
soy sauce |
| 4 cups |
(1 L) |
cooked and drained angel hair pasta OR vermicelli, broken into thirds
before cooking |
In a large frypan or wok, heat 2 tsp (10 mL) oil over medium-high heat. Add pork strips,
garlic and hot pepper flakes; cook and stir 2-3 minutes until meat is brown and just
cooked. Remove from pan. Pour remaining oil into pan. Add cabbage, celery and green
onions; cook and stir 1-2 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Stir in soy sauce and pasta.
Return pork mixture to wok; stir to combine and heat through. Makes 4 servings.
