Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies

brown sugar, firmly packed |

light corn syrup |

vanilla extract |

all - purpose flour |
| 1/4 cup |

skim milk powder |
| 1/4 tsp |

baking soda |
| 1/4 tsp |
(1 mL) |
salt |
| 3/4 cup |
(175 mL) |
instant rolled oats, uncooked |
| 4 tbsp |
(65 mL) |
mini-chocolate chips |
| 1/4 cup |
(50 mL) |
crispy rice cereal |

Mix Canola oil and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, corn syrup,
and vanilla extract, and beat well. Combine flour, skim milk powder, soda and salt. Stir
well. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, chocolate
chips, and cereal. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls, 2" (5 cm) apart onto cookie sheets
coated with cooking spray. Bake at 180ºC (350ºF) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly
browned. Cool on wire racks. Store in an airtight container. Makes 3 dozen. Manitoba
