There are certain steps followed to make milk.
Here are the steps:
Step 1. Cows are milked by machine 7 days a week, twice or
three times a day.
Step 2. Milk is stored in refrigerated tanks at the dairy
farm until it is picked up by a tanker truck and
taken to the dairy plant.
Step 3. At the dairy plant, milk is homogenized to break down
the size of the cream particles so the cream doesn’t float to
the top and then it is pasteurized to kill harmful bacteria.
Step 4. The milk is put into large containers to be later
packaged into cartons for the store. |

Milk is sold by the percent of dairy fat in the
milk. There are four kinds of milk: 0%(skim), 1%, 2%, and
3.25%(whole), plus cream and whipping cream! Can you think of any
