| Toppings:
hoisin sauce, chopped green onion, shredded carrot or
cucumber, chopped cilantro or mint. Cook garlic, diced
pepper, ground beef and gingerroot in large skillet over
medium heat, stirring occasionally for 8 to 10 minutes,
until beef is browned and completely cooked. Drain if
necessary. Add soy sauce, chili sauce and sesame oil; reduce
heat to medium-low and simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a
warm platter and serve. At the table, have guests spoon some
filling into lettuce leaves, top with a squeeze of lime
juice and add toppings. Wrap the lettuce leaf around filling
and eat by hand.
