As a department, we are continually reworking and strengthening our programs to reflect your needs. Our resources are extensive. We can provide you with a broad range of services, programs and agricultural expertise.

Your local GO Team is normally your first point of contact. The teams are experts on a wide range of agricultural issues—everything from crops, livestock, soil conditions and watersheds to small business development, training programs, product development and international marketing. Talk to the members of your local GO Team, they’ll be happy to work with you to make sure you get the most out of your operation.
 

Business Development Specialist
Leads and supports activities to:
  • Create awareness, develop and attract value-added and expanded value-chain enterprise

  • helps develop other agricultural and non-agricultural community and business

  • advises clients and community leaders on all aspects of business development and management

Business Development Specialist - Community Development
Leads and supports activities to:
  • develop thriving, sustainable, rural communities

  • develop and attract value-added enterprises and other agricultural and non-agricultural community and business initiatives

  • help clients and community leaders with all aspects of business development and management

  • help develop community plans
Farm Production Advisor
Advises and helps producers:
  • adopt current, sustainable farm production and farm management practices

  • find information and resources on crop and livestock production and agri-environment issues

  • access Agriculture Crown Land programs

Rural Leadership Specialist
Develops and delivers programs:
  • that increase individual, business, organization and rural community capacity

  • that support youth, co-operatives, entrepreneurs, business managers, organization and community leaders in enhancing the community's financial, human capacity, farm renewal, leadership and organizational development

Farm Production Extension - Livestock/Forage Specialist
Develops and delivers programs:
  • that help primary agricultural producers make decisions about profitable, productive, environmentally sustainable livestock and forage production

  • for leadership and co-ordination in a livestock or forage management

Extension Co-ordinator
Along with specialist, co-ordinates and provides:
  • primary contact for GO Teams
  • public requests for department information and programs

  • logistics, publicity registration, support materials and equipments for events
