Location:
  • from Dauphin, take #20 North to Winnipegosis
  • turn left at the Sifton junction on Hwy #267
  • go through the town of Sifton until 4th Ave. W
  • turn left
  • farm is about half way down the road in the RT. hand side    
Herd:

We raise recorded Grade, Canadian and Purebred La Moncha's. We have about 10-15 head at a time.
       

Herd/Farm Accomplishments:

We show at no less than 5 sanctioned shows a year. 
Also participate in classification and milk recording programs administered through the Canadian Goat Society.
   

Farm/Facility:

We purchase all feed as we only have a couple of acres.
Our animals are fed 2nd cut alfalfa and 16% dairy ration along with free choice salt, minerals and baking soda.
   

Management:

Animals are dewormed twice a year. 
At birth kids are given A & D and selenium. Navels are dipped in iodine at birth.
Animals are injected with Glavac 3 and Tasvac 7.
Delousing is done in the fall.
Hoof trimming is done twice a year.
   

Herd Health:

All the animals are health checked twice a year. In the spring and fall. They are inspected for lumps, mastitis, ringworm, orf, foot rot, lice, etc.  Any necessary treatments are given immediately.
    

Marketing:

We sell breeding stock to breeders and any animals not meeting my standards are sold for slaughter. These are usually sold to a local buyer
