Location:
  • 6 miles north of Miniota on #83 Highway
  • Then 1.5 miles East on the Correction Line Road (84N).
Herd:

Registered Purebred French Alpine. Small breeding stock herd of 10-15 does.
       

Herd/Farm Accomplishments:

Been showing my dairy goats since 1987. We have had many permanent Grand Champions since then (13 does and 3 bucks). Was awarded the Master Breeder Award in 1998 from the Canadian Goat Society.
 

Farm/Facility:

1760 acres; crops grown are wheat, canola, flax, oats and barley. Alfalfa Brome hay grown on 100+ acres for our herd of commercial beef cattle, registered Dorper and Katahdin hair sheep and the goats.    
   

Management:

Goats are kidded in spring, kept milking for about 10 months. Fed outside except on very cold, windy or rainy days. Small, intensive operation.    
   

Herd Health:

Regular vaccination and deworming. Herd tested for Johne’s. (Negative)   
    

Marketing:

Breeding stock marketed through private sales (does, doelings & bucks). Meat animals marketed through MB Goat Association or Roy Leitch Livestock.
