"Pig Production in Straw Bedded Systems" is the title of a
Seminar held on November 14,2001 in Anola, Manitoba. The information below represents all
of the papers presented at this regional seminar in the Eastern/Interlake area of
Manitoba. No effort has been made to edit or alter any papers. They appear as the speakers
delivered them. Manitoba Agriculture and Food staff have been active for more than a
decade, in assisting producers with management issues related to raising pigs in straw
bedded systems. This seminar is a result of producer requests for a comprehensive meeting
covering the topics of housing, daily management, economics, siting, manure management,
and marketing. Additional related material is also included for further support to the
subject.
