Sheep Identification Systems

The sheep industry along with the cattle industry is moving towards a permanent ID system for sheep. At the present time it is proposed that all sheep be tagged as they move from farm of origin. Individual ID is being mandated in Quebec and producers should consider this approach since it will assist in the event of a major reportable disease outbreak on the farm necessitating destruction of animals.
