| Most sheep research in Canada is carried out in Alberta either at the Lethbridge
research station of Agriculture and Agrifood Canada or in Quebec at the Centre d
Expertise en Production Ovine du Quebec. No research flocks are present in Manitoba. The
bulk of sheep research is however carried out in major sheep producing countries such as
Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. For producers interested in following this further we
have tried to provide some links to access sheep research programs worldwide.
There are a number of Research facilities in Manitoba, Canada and USA that are working
on problems related to sheep production and management. Activities involve livestock
management systems, forage and feeding production and management and new opportunities in
the industry. A partial listing of some of the Web sites where information may be obtained
