Our Vision
To establish Manitoba as a nationally and internationally recognized centre of research, production, marketing, development and commercialization of agricultural products for health.

Our Mission
To promote and support the development of a strong agricultural, food and health products research community and industry in Manitoba.

Background
The Manitoba government, under the leadership of Manitoba Science, Technology, Energy, Sciences and Mines (STEM) and Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiative (MAFRI) and with funding support from Growing Forward and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) see vast opportunities for research and industry development in functional foods and natural health products (FFN). As a result, the Manitoba Agri-Health Research Network was established.

FFN Leadership
Role Manitoba is poised to play a significant leadership role in the FFN sector thanks to significant local opportunities to strengthen its research capacity in the life science area. In order to achieve its vision and mission, Manitoba Agri-Health Research Network will initially promote and support three globally acclaimed facilities as one comprehensive research entity – a singular bioactives cluster.
