Key Collaboration
The three facilities that function as Manitoba Agri-Health Research Network’s singular bioactives cluster
include Canadian Centre for Agri-Food Research in Health and
Medicine (CCARM), Food Development Centre (FDC) and Richardson
Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals (RCFFN). All have
identified similarities and differences in their programs and
services and capital acquisitions have been made with the
consideration of avoiding duplication. Funds have been
strategically used to acquire equipment that will benefit the
entire agri-food research community and allow for the three
centres to play complementary rather than competitive roles.
Built on the unique strengths of world-renowned experts in
research, development, and commercialization, this exciting
collaborative initiative will advance the role of functional
foods and neutraceuticals - in Canada and around the world.
