Fruit Production

PURPOSE OF PROGRAM/SERVICE

To encourage economic commercial production of domestic fruit including strawberries, saskatoons, raspberries, chokecherries, sea buckthorn, apples and other small fruits.

Provide information on the Integrated Pest Management to assist producers with pest control strategies.

Assist commercial growers with information on fruit production.

WHO QUALIFIES

Commercial fruit growers.

AVAILABLE BENEFITS/ASSISTANCE

Publications, technical assistance, farm demonstrations and workshops, WWW Information, direct contact with producers and on-site visits.

Collect threshold information, determine pest levels, and advise on control procedures.
