Through this project, the applicant will complete the commercialization of a number of all natural functional energy bars initiated under ARDI Project #04-621.  With the help of the Food Development Centre, The Great Gorp Project Inc. has engineered the bars to meet certain nutritional content claims and has added antioxidants to aid in muscle recovery and cardiovascular health.  They are able to make the omega-3 and -6 claim, high fibre, no cholesterol and no trans fats claims.  Additional work on shelf life and production issues will be undertaken.
