Applicant Information

The objective of this program is to improve the environmental performance of Manitoba’s agricultural industry by encouraging adoption and promoting awareness of sustainable agriculture practices throughout the province. Eligible applicants include Manitoba producer groups, provincial commodity organizations, conservation districts and MAFRI staff.

Priority areas eligible for funding under the Program include:

  • Sustainable Forage/Livestock Management,
  • Sustainable Crop Management and
  • Integrated Pest Management.
     

Under these priorities, emphasis will be placed on projects directly related to the following emerging agri-environmental issues:

  • water quality issues relating to agricultural production;
  • ecological goods and services;
  • increasing efficiency of cropping systems.

PLEASE NOTE: Proponents must receive approval prior to commencing project activities (i.e. retroactive projects are not eligible for funding).
