CMAAS provided program funding to local and
provincial farm groups and commodity organizations. CMAAS also funded various resarch
intiaties and provided direct delivery of programs through staff and resources provided by
federal and provincial government agencies.
A key achievement of CMAAS was the many partnerships between producers,
conservation groups, commodity organiztaions, government and agri-business. |
CMAAS was part of an ongoing evolution of
publicly funded programming focused on encouraging agriculture to adopt sustainable means
of food production.
