MSAPP R&D MEETING
Presentation of Research Projects Results
The first series of research projects funded by the Manitoba
Sustainable Agriculture Practices Program (MSAPP) were completed
last March. In order to showcase and share the results of some
of these projects, a meeting was held on June 8th, 2009.
The objectives of this meeting were to:
- Communicate results from several completed R&D research
projects funded under the MSAPP and other interesting
climate change projects.
- Discuss the results and observations with the objective
of answering important questions related to Manitoba's
medium- and long-term climate change goals.
- Facilitate the documentation and delivery of project
results for consideration in the design of policy and
programming related to climate change.
The participants included producer associations,
non-government organizations, government and academia to share
their information and insight into this very important element
of the new program. Funding for this project was provided by
Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives. There was no
cost to participate.
