Generally, fertilizer prices are lower in fall than
in spring. Producers should take these price differences into
consideration when planning their fertilizer program. Another factor
to consider if purchasing in the fall is the interest and storage
cost for carrying over to spring. Table 15 summarizes the provincial
average price comparisons between fall and spring for the major
phosphorus and nitrogen fertilizer products.

Table 16 provides a general summary of costs related to fertilizer
application. It includes the major fertilizer forms as well as method of application.
