Helping You and the Land

The Manitoba Agro Woodlot Program helps landowners recognize and take advantage of opportunities that exist on their lands for renewable woodlot-based enterprise. It encourages development of skills in logging, milling and marketing wood. It provides an approach that also maintains environmental values and wildlife habitat. In short, the goal is sustainable woodlot management.

Sustainable woodlot management offers opportunities for farm income diversification, value-added processing and jobs. Its an ethical approach that ensures today’s actions will sustain tomorrow's forests. This approach can assist farm families to maintain a rural lifestyle and improve the land they love.

The Manitoba Agro Woodlot Program is based on the belief that, if wooded lands are properly managed now, they’ll still be providing economic opportunities and environmental benefits for generations to come.

If wooded lands are properly managed now, they’ll still be providing economic opportunities and environmental benefits for generations to come.
