What we do...

We provide economic, statistical and investigative support services to the Division.

Our four main activities are:

• Investigate marketplace problems.
• Analyze the need for new legislation.
• Develop legislation.
• Participate in a variety of action groups. For example, the interprovincial groups harmonizing consumer legislation throughout Canada and the industry-government-consumer group that developed the Business Practices Act.
