    Content: Consists of census returns for the Lower Settlement, Grant Town and Aboriginal Villages. Returns list heads of families only, but can contain information on age, religion, country of birth, property, livestock and land cultivated.

    Content: A series of parish registers used to award land grants in a random fashion to Métis children as required by section 31 of the Manitoba Act. The registers are organized by claim number. Each entry records allotment number, claimant's name, parents' names, claimant's occupation, date of eighteenth birthday (for minors), grant number, date of allotment, and the legal description to which the allotment was applied.
