Content: Record of receipt of half-yearly reports from school districts and payment of provincial grant. Provides name of  school district, enrolment statistics, the number of days open, amount of provincial grant, and teacher's name and classification.

Dates: 1915 - 1980
Content: Consists of reports submitted biannually to the Department by public schools in the province. Provide student's name, grade, age and attendance as well as teacher's name and classification. Arranged by school district or division number within each half year. To find a particular student or teacher, you must be able to identify the school he or she attended or taught.

Content: Correspondence with the Deputy Minister, Assistant Deputy Minister, Registrar of Records, Accountant and Chief Clerk. Includes school inspectors and board of Health reports on conditions in the schools, as well as correspondence pertaining to matters such as finances, opening and closing of schools, district boundaries and student transportation.

Content: Manitoba school division and school district minute books, cash books and attendance registers. Daily attendance registers include student name and age, as well as teacher name.

Content: Admissions, discharges and quarterly returns. Applications for later years may include more extensive personal information, as well as correspondence with school administrators regarding the application.
