Inscription in UNESCO's Memory of the World International Register

On 19 June 2007, it was announced that the Hudson's Bay Company archive records spanning the first 250 years of its history, 1670 to 1920, have been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Memory of the World registry.
