Film and Sound Recording

Manitoba has a diversified and successful film and television industry.  From feature films to documentaries, to the award winning films of the The Winnipeg Film Group (WFG) and Video Pool, Manitoba is firmly established as an accomplished film and video production centre supported by organizations such as the NSI National Screen Institute.  Whether filming includes the work of internationally acclaimed local director, Guy Maddin, or Hollywood films like the “Capote” or “Shall We Dance” the cameras never stop rolling in this dynamic cultural industry.

The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival is host to four days of great documentaries, shorts and movies and let’s not forget about the popular workshops, panels and informal get togethers!
