Heritage Matters

Heritage Matters is a community heritage performance measurement and development initiative developed by the Historic Resources Branch, with support from the Historic Places Initiative , a pan-Canadian initiative to build a culture of conservation in Canada.

Communities completing the Heritage Matters worksheet and interested in undertaking a project that helps identify, protect or conserve historic places can apply for Heritage Matters funding support (up to 50 per cent matching, $5,000 maximum per applicant) provided through a provincial-municipal agreement.
