What does HPI mean for Manitobans?

HPI builds on existing heritage programs offered through the Historic Resources Branch of Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism. It provides new assistance with identifying and conserving the heritage value of designated places while helping to maximize their economic development potential, environmental benefits and contributions to sustainable development.

By providing HPI tools to assist with the identification, conservation and celebration of historic places, the initiative is helping Manitobans protect their heritage. With support from the Historic Places Initiative we can expand our ability to protect, preserve and promote our important collection of historic buildings and sites.
