Notable Manitobans
The history of Manitoba is neither dull, nor boring, and Manitoba’s heritage is a proud one. Manitobans—women and men from diverse ethno-cultural, religious, and racial backgrounds—have made significant contributions to the social, economic, political, agricultural, literary, artistic, and sporting life of the province. In so doing, they have added immeasurably to the rich and diverse social fabric that is Manitoba. Their lives, endeavours, accomplishments, and contributions made a difference in the lives of Manitobans, and frequently in the lives of other Canadians and people throughout the world.
The Historic Resources Branch is pleased to present the following brief biographies of notable Manitobans who demonstrated that people can truly make a difference.
