Library Services
Public Library Services maintains access to over one million books
through MAPLIN, the provincial catalogue of all
Manitoba rural public libraries. Eight Manitoba libraries ensure
citizens can access current Manitoba laws, regulations, and government publications. The
Legislative Library provides efficient and impartial access to its specialized information resources
for the Legislature, government, and people of Manitoba, and ensures current and future
access to Manitoba's published
heritage.

Manitoba Government
Publications Monthly Checklist - The Checklist, compiled and
published monthly, includes Manitoba government publications received during the month by
the Legislative Library under its deposit requirement with all provincial government
departments and agencies.
Manitoba Publications at the Legislative Library - Under The Legislative Library Act,
Manitoba publishers are asked to send one copy of every item published in Manitoba to the
Library on legal deposit. Since 1919, the Library has built a heritage collection
which reflects the histories, aspirations, and artistic expressions of Manitoba's diverse
communities. As a result the Library has also accumulated a rich assortment of children's literature
from the pens and paint boxes of Manitoba's gifted authors and illustrators.
