Data Links

The Protected Areas Initiative data is available for free download from the Manitoba Land Initiative (MLI) website. Please register for full access to Manitoba’s data warehouse.

The Protected Areas Initiative data is located under “Admin. Boundaries” at the left of the page and includes the following data sets:

• Protected Areas
• Areas of Special Interest
• Natural Ecological Regions

To create maps using this data, please use the “interactive maps” link located at the left side of the MLI webpage.  A variety of map viewing software is located under the provided “Site Information & Help” link.
