Photo Story Contests

Share a story or photo and tell us about your adventures in any Manitoba Provincial Park. Some entries may be displayed on our website.

All photos and stories become the property of Manitoba Conservation for educational and advertising use. Photo credits will not be given.

  • Only those entries that win a Prize Pack will be contacted.

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

  1. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
  2. Photos and or stories must be of a Manitoba Provincial Park.
  3. Five categories are available for entry: Stories, Spectacular Scenery photos, Wildlife Wonders photos, Amazing Action photos and Youth Photos (under 18 yrs). Youth submissions will require date of birth and the consent of a parent or guardian.
  4. To qualify for the prize pack draws, submissions must be made between July 1, 2012 and October 12, 2012.
  5. Each Friday between July 6 and October 12, ONE submission will be drawn each weeky. All submissions will be eligible for all draws.
  6. A total of 15 prizes will be awarded.
  7. This contest is open to all persons, except for employees, agents or representatives of Manitoba Conservation.
  8. Entries will only be accepted through the website. Personal information collected will be solely used for the purposes of this contest and will not serve for any purpose.
  9. Draw winners will be notified by email by the Monday following each weekly draw. All prizes must be claimed by October 31, 2012. Contact Manitoba Conservation – Parks Photo-Story Contests – Box 52, 200 Saulteaux Cres, Winnipeg, MB, R3G 3W3 for a complete listing of draw winners.
  10. All entries become the property of Manitoba Conservation, the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to publish any entry for advertising purposes or education purposes. Photo and Story credits will not be given.
  11. The contest organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest.

PHOTO RULES

  1. Photos can only be submitted one at a time and must be accompanied by appropriate release(s).  Photos containing identifiable people must be accompanied by a model release form. All forms are the responsibility of the entrant.
  2. Photos must be less than 8 MB.
  3. Photo content may not be altered, however, cropping and colour corrections including black and white conversion are acceptable.
  4. Photos entered must not have been previously published.

STORY RULES

  1. Stories must be less than 500 words.
  2. Stories entered must not have been previously published.
