Birds Hill Reports groomed trails in poor condition.
Camp Morton

Reports ungroomed trails with fair conditions.

Duck Mountains:  
     Childs Lake Trails are groomed and in fair condition.
     Wellman Lake Trails are groomed and in fair condition.
Clearwater Trails are groomed with icy patches and good conditions.
Grand Beach

CLOSED

Hecla The trails are groomed with fair conditions.
Paint Lake Trails are groomed with icy patches and good conditions.

All cross-country ski trails (including the Whitemouth River trails at Hadashville) are now closed for the season. The spring weather has melted snow and deteriorated trail conditions. This is the last report of the year - thanks for visiting the Whiteshell this winter and we hope to see you next year.

Important Notes for all Park Visitors
The spring weather has begun to melt snow and ice on all trails. Poor ice conditions exist on all bodies of water; therefore travel is not advised on any lakes, ponds or rivers.

Winter Safety Tips

  • Check the weather report and heed precautions and advisories. If weather warnings suggest a severe wind chill or extremely low temperatures, consider avoiding outdoor activities until the weather improves.

  • Travel is not recommended on all streams, rivers and lakes.

  • Keep a trail map with you and know where you are. Stay on marked trails.
