To be eligible for a Manitoba hunting licence you must be 12 years of age or older.
Licences are required for all big game and most game bird hunting. If you wish to hunt, you must have a valid licence for the species you are hunting, and you must carry the licence, and any associated game tags with you while hunting. You are required to show the licence to a Natural Resource Officer if asked to do so.
A licence and any associated game tags provide a hunter with the authority to possess big game or game birds, as well as the authority to harvest them.
Once purchased, licences cannot be exchanged or returned.
It is the hunter's responsibility to ensure that the vendor has issued the correct licence.
It is illegal to purchase more than one licence of the same type for the same hunting year.
