"The whole natural, spiritual, and physical laws of life

History
The Aboriginal Relations Branch was established to develop a more positive relationship with the Aboriginal community.
The establishment of this branch acknowledges the need to involve the Aboriginal perspectives in resolving issues while recognizing and integrating their input to ensure effective natural resource management for the department. For the Branch and Department to be truly effective in achieving these objectives it requires a concentrated effort towards the development of proactive strategies and initiatives. This also requires the Branch to participate and become involved in most aspects of the department programs and planning processes related to forests, lands, water, wildlife, and enforcement.
It is important that this level of commitment be recognized to meet the ever-increasing requirements of the Aboriginal community, non-Aboriginal community, and Manitoba Conservation.
