Getting There: The Singush Lake
subdivision is in Duck Mountain Provincial Park on the east shore of
Singush Lake about 405km (250 miles) northwest of Winnipeg or 25km
(15 miles) west along PR 367 from PTH 10 and Garland. Primary
access to the subdivision from the City of Dauphin is by PTH 5 west
and then by PTH 10 north to the junction of PR 367 at the community
of Garland. Turn west on PR 367 and travel 25km to the Singush Lake
subdivision road. Turn left and follow the signage to the new lots.
Location & Description of Subdivision:
Singush Lake is 242 hectares (598 acres) in size, has 12.7km (7.9
miles) of shoreline, a maximum depth of 10.1 meters (33.2 feet) and
a mean depth of 4.8 meters (15.7 feet). The public boat launch is
on the north shore in the campground. The nearest public beach is
located at Blue Lake, approximately 10 minutes west of the
subdivision. The 6-lot subdivision has an average lot size of 1/3
acres but may vary due to topographical requirements.
Services: The subdivision has gravel
road access and Hydro. Holding tanks are required for sewage and
any waste water generated from a pressurized water system. Potable
water is available at the well in the subdivision. Success in
drilling individual wells has been limited in the area. Local
limited services are found at Blue Lake Lodge. Full services are
provided in Ethelbert or Dauphin. MTS is not available at Singush
Lake. Currently, cell phones give limited service in Duck Mountain
Provincial Park.
