As of April 1, 2008 Manitoba Conservation implemented a new Timber Administration System which includes new procedures for reporting and paying for Crown Timber.
All timber delivered to a destination other than an FML and/or an EDT Mill must be reported and paid for by the Cutting Right holder (Quota holders or Timber Sale holders)
All timber that meets the above definition and is moved or delivered after April 1, 2008 must be reported on the new monthly timber return. The return only needs to be completed for months when Crown timber is moved or delivered. The return must be submitted by the end of the month following the month in which the timber was moved.
A year end (March) timber return is required from all cutting right holders. If no wood has been moved or delivered in March a "nil" timber return is to be submitted. "On hand" wood must be declared, in the comments section of the March timber return, either nil or an estimate of volume and species.
The timber return can either be completed by hand or electronically:

Electronic Stacked Wood Tally Sheet - Microsoft Excel version that can be completed on your computer and submitted with the electronic timber return.
The monthly timber return forms are also available at Manitoba Conervation and Water Stewardship, Forestry Branch, 200 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship Regional and certain District offices.
