Interjurisdictional Symposium on Aboriginal Involvement in
Renewable Resource Management.
The Interjurisdictional Symposium on Aboriginal Involvement in Renewable
Resource Management held May 15, 16 and 17 in Regina, Saskatchewan was
hosted by Saskatchewan Environment.
The theme of the Symposium was: From Conflict to Co-operation, and
was attended from participants from all across Canada. The Symposium
brought together participants to present to each other best practices,
to stimulate challenging and creative discussion in the area of
Aboriginal involvement in renewable resource management.

Pathways to Sustainable Resources: Aboriginal Issues and
Aboriginal Involvement in Natural Resource Management.
The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources hosted this conference, to
provide a forum for natural resource managers from across Canada to
discuss issues and policy dealing with Aboriginal involvement in the
management of natural resources.
It was also intended as a training opportunity for Ontario Ministry
of Natural Resources staff who deal with Aboriginal issues in natural
resource management.
