This important archaeological site reveals how St. Andrews Rapids on the Red River affected the development and evolution of Aboriginal cultures. A short interpretive trail (return distance 0.7 km) called Gifts of the Red, winds through the picnic ground, along the riverbank, and features on-site signs about the resources that have attracted people here for thousands of years. Other highlights visitors may enjoy are seeing American white pelicans and a fish ladder, built so that fish can get upstream from the dam.
Located on PTH 44, east side of the Lockport bridge. Admission: free.
