Campfire
Friday, July 4th  
8:30 p.m. (approx ½ hr.)
Campfire pit at Gull          
Harbour Marina

 

Molly Mosquito – Everything in the animal kingdom
is connected somehow, even the most pesky creatures
play a role. Come to the campfire and see what all the
buzz is about and learn about how the mosquito fits into the web of life. Please bring a mug for hot chocolate.

 

 

Village Walk
Saturday, July 5th   
2:00 p.m. (approx. 1 hr)
Meet at the Village Fish Station

Hike the Hamlet of Hecla – Join the Interpreters as
they visit the village of Hecla and its historic buildings. 
See the tools, boats and buildings that were used by
the commercial fishermen and their families.

 

Family Program
Saturday, July 5th
3:30 p.m. (approx. ½ hr.)
Hecla Village School

 

In a Rut? – Hecla Island is home to Manitoba’s
largest ungulates, the Moose. Journey through a day on
Hecla Island with one of our favourite Moose and make
your own Moose puppet.

 

Night Hike
Saturday, July 5th    
8:30 p.m. (approx. 1hr.)
Meet at Wildlife Viewing
Tower near gate

 

Things that Go Bump in the Night – Hecla Island is
home to many different nocturnal animals. Take a walk
on the wild side with the Interpreters and listen to the sounds of the park at night. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.
