Calling All Adenturers

Seven Sisters District ~ Whiteshell Natural History Museum

Campfire Program

Fun with Fossils
Meet Initiana James then learn about fossils and do a little digging of your own, see what lies beneath our feet.  Bring a mug for hot chocolate and a lawn chair.
Location: Otter Falls Campground Beside the Playground

 

Saturday, July 5

Travel through Time
Join the interpreters as they travel through time and meet the “locals” of the Whiteshell over the years.
Location: Nutimik Campground at the Amphitheatre

11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Family Program

 

Pieces from the Past
Dig up facts about pottery with the interpreters, then make your own piece of art to take home.  Kids, don’t forget your parents
Location: Opapiskaw Campground Beside the Beach

NRO For a Day
Attention all kids aged 7-12. Enter to win a ride along with a Natural Resource Officer and discover what it’s like in their shoes.
Enter at: Whiteshell Natural History Museum or any event

 

The Whiteshell Natural History Museum is open 7 days a week, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Closed 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch). Please drop by to see our displays or ask the interpreter a question. Hope to see you soon!

  Hey Kids – Ask the interpreters how you can become Black Bear Aware, a Junior Naturalist, a Park Explorer or a Park Pal. You can earn pins, certificates and prizes!

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to all events.
