Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park

Located along the picturesque shore of Lake Winnipeg, Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park offers unique opportunities to make education enlightening and fun. Hecla/Grindstone offers excellent curriculum-based programs from May to June in many areas with a special focus on local cultural and Icelandic history. Students can travel back in time when they visit the old two-room school complete with vintage wooden desks and inkwells. The unique atmosphere of this facility enhances the students' experience and gives them an opportunity to experience a piece of the area's unique history. Hecla/Grindstone's wide variety of ecosystems also offer excellent outdoor educational opportunities. For more information on Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park and its programs contact:
