Dear Educators,

The Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary is inviting you to get a close up look at over two thousand migrating geese as they wing their way south! We are pleased to offer free interpretive programming to educators and group leaders.  Programs are available for all grades (Kindergarten to Senior 4).

The Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary is located just outside the town of Rennie, near the central entrance to Whiteshell Provincial Park, an hour and a half east of Winnipeg.  As you visit the Canadian Shield - granite ridges, tall pines and beautiful lakes will greet you at every stop.  Our programs are a perfect addition to a trip you may be planning in the area or a reason to discover the beauty of the shield region.

Guided Hikes and Interpretive Programs are available on a variety of topics.  These programs emphasize hands-on activities and are designed to be age and grade appropriate. Programs offered will be held at the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary (except for some guided hikes) and are adapted to fit your needs. You can choose from a selection of ready-made programming or request other topics.  For groups traveling through our area, the Visitor Centre Tour is a great way to stop and stretch your legs.  Picnic grounds are available for those groups who need a place to break for lunch.  The Visitor Centre is wheelchair accessible.
