Turtle Mountain was the first area to emerge as glacial ice receded northward in what has become Manitoba. Melting ice left a landscape that is higher than the surrounding prairie, and comprised of frequent hills, wetlands and a deciduous forest. The interpretive centre's displays are based on the mountain's wetlands, woodlands, wildlife and geology. Self-guiding and hiking trails, as well as group camping areas are easily accessible from here.
Located off PTH 10, at Adam Lake, between the campground and the beach. Admission is free.
Open daily, mid-May to September long weekend.
