Campgrounds Now Open!
Updated, July 15, 2005

Kiche Manitou and St. Malo campgrounds are now open for camping!

The Kiche Manitou campground in Spruce Woods Provincial Park remains open with limited access to the beach area as a result of levels on the Assiniboine River.  Repairs and cleanup have been completed and the campground is fully restored following a high-water event on April 3 and 4.

The majority of St. Malo campground is also now open for camping.  Favourable drying conditions in recent days have accelerated campground cleanup following the early summer heavy rainfalls.  Campsites are available for walk-up camping this weekend.  Reservations can now be made for arrivals starting on Sunday, July 17.

Campers with reservations should contact the Parks Reservation Service at 1-888-482-2267 or in Winnipeg at 948-3333.  For general inquiries call 1-800-214-6497 or in Winnipeg at 945-6784.

Attention:  The Parks Reservation Service experiences very heavy demand for reservation during the first few days of each season.  In order to provide greater access to dates and sites for more customers during this very busy period, we are limiting reservations to 3 per call or on-line session and will only handle one person per call.  Once the initial rush for reservations is over, reservation limits will return to 5 per call.

We understand your desire to camp in Manitoba's provincial parks and ask for your patience and assistance during this very busy time.

______________

Cabin and group use reservations are not available on-line and will require the assistance of a customer service representative by calling 1-888-482-2267 or in Winnipeg at 948-3333.

If you have any questions regarding the site, please contact us at prs@gov.mb.ca

We look forward to seeing you.
