Biological Sample Submissions
Game Hunting Areas Map
Along the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Border
- GHAs 5, 6, 6A, 11, 12, 13, 13A, 18, 18A, and that part of 22 west of PTH 83
- All harvested deer and elk
- Head only
- Samples from this area may be frozen
Riding and Duck Mountains
- GHAs 18B, 18C, 23 and 23A
- All harvested deer and elk
- You must submit the head and upper neck and lungs with attached windpipe of all deer and elk
- For female elk and moose, the reproductive tract and lower jaw
- And within 48 hours from the time of the kill
- You must submit samples from this area in a fresh state - unfrozen

Submitting The Sample(s)
- Detach antlers (see image for location of v-notch); keep head and antlers together until you receive a receipt for the head.
- Submit only the biological samples as listed above (no hides, antler, or other parts will be accepted)
- You must present your valid hunting license when submitting samples
- Record the exact kill location (use your GPS)
As a token of appreciation, all hunters submitting the required sample will receive a collectible baseball cap courtesy of Manitoba Conservation.
