Manitoba Hunting Guide



Upland Game Bird Hunting

Licences

You require an game bird hunting licence to hunt these species in Manitoba. Licences can be purchased at Manitoba Conservation offices throughout the province, or at participating vendors.

Senior Citizens Game Bird Hunting

Residents who are 65 years of age or older do not require a provincial Game Bird Licence if they carry proof of age and residency while hunting. This does not include wild turkey.

Landowners

The owner or occupier of private land and immediate family members (spouse and children) may hunt upland game birds in season (excluding wild turkey) on that land without a provincial Game Bird Licence. However, if hunting elsewhere, a provincial Game Bird Licence must be purchased.

Non-residents

Non-residents and non-resident aliens, hunting upland game birds, do not require the services of an outfitter or guide.
