

You require an game bird hunting licence to hunt these species in Manitoba. Licences can be purchased at Manitoba Conservation offices throughout the province, or at participating vendors.
Residents who are 65 years of age or older do not require a provincial Game Bird Licence if they carry proof of age and residency while hunting. This does not include wild turkey.
All regulations and bag limits for the GHA in which they are hunting remain in effect.
The owner or occupier of private land and immediate family members (spouse and children) may hunt upland game birds in season (excluding wild turkey) on that land without a provincial Game Bird Licence. All regulations and bag limits for the GHA in
which they are hunting remain in effect. If hunting elsewhere, a provincial Game Bird Licence must be purchased.
Non-residents and foreign residents, hunting upland game birds, are not required to use the services of an outfitter or guide.
