Monitoring

The Wildlife and Ecosystem Protection Branch and its partners conduct monitoring programs to estimate population size and trends of various species of animals and plants. These monitoring programs help to better understand the impact of changes in the environment and the impact of management practices on the status of animal and plant populations and their habitat in Manitoba.
